We’re heading to the BVI tomorrow for our first charter and theres a lot to know before you book yours!

Private Day Charters

With the announcment on Sunday, we know a lot of you are waiting for some answers from us and once again….The BVI is keeping us on our toes.  There is still some licensing required on our end but there are talks that the BVI is just going to want our US business licenses, so we are once again waiting on an announcement to confirm everything.  In the meantime I am getting the other documents in a row and submitted so we have all bases covered.

However, we do have BVI trips bookable on our website and we encourage you to go ahead and reserve your day as we are getting booked up like crazy after this weekend.

I did just reduce the deposit amount down to $200 instead of half of the charter fee and the details on BVI trips are below but first a few things to note on BVI trips.

Customs times are lenghy; they have all new procedures and when not busy it’s taking approximately an hour so we expect a long time waiting on the dock in the mornings

US Customs is going to be very busy and is a requirement for clearance back into the USVI; we recommend coming back through the US before 3:30  for a quick and seamless process and then you can hop on the boat and go back out for the last bit of the day if you choose to do so

Customs fees are subject to change; right now they are remaining at $75 per person but we are expecting a raise in this rate any day now

Virgin Gorda trips are subject to wind and sea conditions and incur a surcharge

– We cannot do last minute bookings because of their restrictions and policies

Passport information MUST be submitted at least 2 days prior to your charter or you cannot go to the BVI; these details will be in your conformation email

We are currently doing a November special on US Waters trips through this week.  $100 off CatZilla full day charters through November 18th if you book online and use promo code November!
