What do you do on your days off when you live here? One of the most common questions we get asked and usually the answer is, “Laundry, run errands, grocery shop, clean, etc.” Boring.  Well some days we get the pleasure of running errands on Saint Thomas.  While a lot of Saint Johnians have a bad impression of Saint Thomas; Joe and I lived there for 3 years and have an appreciation for our neighboring island.   So when we go run errands over there it’s actually pretty great.  We know the back roads so we don’t get stuck in traffic as often, we get to grab lunch with friends we haven’t seen in a while, and we are very practiced at getting in and out of Cost-U-Less in a speedy manner.  While we think we know Saint Thomas really well, sometimes we get the chance to play tourist and explore something new!

Yesterday, Sunday Sunday, was one of those days.  I had to go over and take care of some stuff for work, needed new tires for the car and had to make a home depot run so we decided we wanted to check out the new Margaritaville for lunch.  This spot is awesome! It’s on a beach in smith bay, Saint Thomas that has been SERIOUSLY cleaned up, complete with awesome chairs, hammocks and a brand new dock for their hotel guests to use on day charters.

With the addition of the comfy hammock and great chairs, this beach is definitely inviting, but even better was the food!

I had the Bernaise Sliders and a corona and Joe had their club sandwich. The portions are huge and the food was so good! It’s definitely going to be a go-to spot for our Saint Thomas days going forward.  I just wish they would let non-hotel guests enjoy their incredible pool bar!
